Wild Blue Dogs offers grants to individuals whose dog has been diagnosed with cancer and who desires treatment for their dog, but lack the financial resources to do so.
Every applicant must apply and meet a series of criteria in order to be considered for a grant. You can visit the [Pet Owner Grant Application Page] for a complete list of the questions Wild Blue Dogs asks in order to make sure your donation is effectively used. The following is a brief overview of the grant process:
The owner must demonstrate financial need and prove their inability to afford cancer treatment and live in California or in a bordering city. (We hope to expand our grant area as we grow, but for now we want to focus our grant program close to our events and activities. It is our way of giving back to the communities we are a part of). The dog’s owner as well as the dog’s referring Veterinarian must both submit applications to Wild Blue Dogs, including medical information and test results. Members of the Wild Blue Dogs team will review this information and select grant recipients. The dog will then be referred to a Veterinary specialist, where they will begin cancer treatment.
